IF you just happen to be around Manila around Good Friday and have a stomach for a very realistic reenactment of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ you should definitely consider the short 65 KM trip up to the San Fernando, Pampanga and experience this very unusual Filipino spiritual journey. اذا كنت يحدث لمجرد أن يكون حول مانيلا حول الجمعة العظيمة ولها المعدة لإعادة تمثيل واقعي جدا من صلب يسوع المسيح يجب عليك أن تنظر بالتأكيد رحلة قصيرة 65 كم يصل إلى سان فرناندو ، وبامبانجا واجهت هذه الروحية الفلبينية رحلة غير عادية جدا .

Named cristos about a dozen each year volunteer to be nailed to the cross by their hands and feet as a form of atonement and sacrifice (some for the 15th consecutive year) while about one thousand others called mamalaspas come to take part in self flagellation ritual. cristos المسماة نحو عشرة متطوعين في كل عام ليكون مسمر على الصليب من أيديهم وأرجلهم كشكل من أشكال التكفير والتضحية (بعض للسنة 15 على التوالي) في حين كان حوالي 1000 آخرين mamalaspas دعا الحضور إلى المشاركة في طقوس جلد الذات. After a while of whipping themselves they start the 4 KM long procession to the cross بعد فترة قصيرة من الجلد أنفسهم أن تبدأ المسيرة الطويلة 4 كم على الصليب

He first is tied onto the cross انه أول مرتبط على الصليب

Then one approaches with a six inch nail in his hand ثم نهج واحد مع ستة بوصة مسمار في يده

Once both hands are nailed the holy cross is raised from the ground بمجرد مسمر كلتا يديه على الصليب المقدس يظهر من الأرض

Then firmly fixated ثم تركز اهتمامها بقوة

After the hands of course comes the feet. بعد أيدي بالطبع يأتي في القدمين. Here The Roman soldier is looking for the right spot where to nail his feet to the cross while sustaining to the devotee as minimal damage as possible. هنا الجندي الروماني تبحث عن بقعة الحق أين مسمار قدميه على الصليب مع الحفاظ على الحد الأدنى من الضرر ومتفانيا ممكن.

The way back was anything but easy with the thousands of people all trying to leaving a the same time. وكان في طريق العودة أي شيء ولكن من السهل مع الآلاف من الناس الذين يحاولون جميعا لترك الوقت نفسه. On this small little street we were cramped like sardines and the boiling heat didn't do anything to help. هذا القليل على شارع صغير كنا ضيقة مثل السردين وحرارة الغليان لم تفعل شيئا للمساعدة.

It became very quickly impossible to move at all forwards and since we had a few kilometers to walk to get back to the car we changed plans and decided to take a little break from the heat. وأصبح من المستحيل بسرعة كبيرة للتحرك إلى الأمام في جميع ومنذ كنا على بعد بضعة كيلومترات من السير على العودة الى السيارة قمنا بتغيير خطط وقررت أن تأخذ استراحة قليلا من الحرارة.

Quickly some residents offered us some taste of true Filipino hospitality where a bench and food arrived. عرضت بعض السكان بسرعة لنا بعض طعم الضيافة الفلبينية صحيح حيث مقعد والمواد الغذائية وصلت.

Our guests kept arriving with more food and were eager to talk about our experience احتفظ ضيوفنا قادمة مع المزيد من الغذاء وكانت حريصة على الحديث عن تجربتنا
