Cheung Chau is the smallest inhabited Island out of the 235 that form the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. تشونغ تشاو هو أصغر جزيرة مأهولة من أصل 235 التي تشكل هونغ كونغ الإدارية الخاصة. Though only located only 10 km southwest of Hong Kong Island it feels as it could be light years away. وإن كان يقع فقط 10 كم جنوب غرب فقط لهونج كونج يشعر انه جزيرة لأنها يمكن أن تكون سنة ضوئية. Around the Cheung Chau Harbor حول المرفأ تشاو تشيونغ

The first thing to catch your attention is the never ending rows of sampans and fishing boats along the Cheung Chau harbor. أول شيء للقبض على اهتمامكم هو صفوف لا تنتهي من القوارب ومراكب الصيد على طول الميناء تشاو تشونغ. Then the multitude of fishermen that go on their daily business drying up the fresh catch of the day right on the seafront or prepare their Junks for the next day at sea. ثم عدد كبير من الصيادين التي تستمر في أعمالهم اليومية تجفيف صيدا طازجا للحق يوم على البحر أو من أجل إعداد السفن الشراعية في اليوم التالي في عرض البحر. Inside the village you will find a small labyrinth of alleyways that are fun to roam around and get lost in. داخل القرية سوف تجد عبارة عن متاهة من الأزقة الصغيرة التي هي متعة التجول في المكان وتضيع فيه.

Pak Tai Temple باك معبد تاي

The oldest temple of the Island it is dedicated to Pak Tai (Supreme Emperor of the Dark Heaven in English) God of the sea who is venerated for having saved the island from the plague and marauding pirates in the 18th century. اقدم معبد جزيرة مخصصة لها أن تاي باك (العليا الامبراطور من السماء المظلمة في اللغة الإنجليزية) إله البحر الذي هو تبجيلا لأنها أنقذت الجزيرة من الطاعون والمغيرة القراصنة في القرن 18. Entrance is free but a small donation is traditionally given for the visit. الدخول مجاني ولكن تعطى عادة للتبرع صغير للزيارة.

Cheung Chau Bun Festival مهرجان تشونغ تشاو الكعكة

Celebrated every year at the 8th day of the 4th moon (generally falling in Mai) the Cheung Chau Bun Festival was originally held to commemorate Pak Tai's divine intervention ending the outbreak of bubonic plague which saved the inhabitants of the Island. عقدت أصلا يحتفل به كل عام في يوم 8 من القمر 4 (التي تقع عادة في ماي) وتشاو تشونغ بون مهرجان لاحياء ذكرى تدخل باك تاي المقدس إنهاء تفشي الطاعون الدبلي الذي أنقذ سكان الجزيرة.
