Boracay island جزيرة بوراكاي
Situated around 350 km down south from Manila in the Visayas, Boracay is a fabulous beach destination to discover. تقع حوالي 350 كم الى الجنوب من مانيلا إلى أسفل في فيساياس ، بوراكاي وجهة الشاطئ لاكتشاف رائع. Sized only at 7 km long by 2 wide it's a relatively small tropical island that has lots to offer. الحجم فقط 7 كم واسع من قبل 2 انها جزيرة استوائية صغيرة نسبيا لديها الكثير لتقدمه. Just to see it's 4km long famous white beach is well worth the trip it but the island by itself has around 30 beaches and coves for you to chose and discover. فقط لنرى انها 4km لونغ بيتش البيضاء الشهيرة تستحق الزيارة ، لكنها جزيرة في حد ذاته على حوالي 30 في الشواطئ والخلجان للكم لاختيار واكتشاف. Some are easy of access by foot while others require a bit of swimming to be reached. بعض من السهل الوصول سيرا على الاقدام والبعض الآخر يتطلب أن يكون تم التوصل إليه قليلا من السباحة. Virtually unknown 25 years ago it has fast grown into one of the Philippines most prized destination. 25 عاما غير معروف تقريبا منذ نمت بسرعة إلى واحدة من أغلى الوجهة الفلبين. Boracay comes from the the word 'borac' which is cotton in English referring to the texture and color of it's sand. بوراكاي يأتي من بوراك كلمة 'وهو القطن باللغة الانكليزية مشيرا الى الملمس واللون لانها الرمال.
The previous nights sleep was short (about 2½ hours) and as we left our hotel in Manila at around 5 am I was still in a dreamy state wondering if on my arrival if the water would be as pristine & if the sand really had that white powder feel like it looked on the pictures I had seen. وكانت الليالي السابقة نوم قصيرة (حوالي 2 ساعات ونصف الساعة) ، وكما غادرنا الفندق في مانيلا حوالي الساعة 05:00 كنت ما زلت في حالة حالمة أتساءل عما اذا كان على وصولي اذا كانت المياه سيكون على النحو البكر وإذا كان الرمل كان حقا أن أبيض مسحوق أشعر أنها تتطلع على الصور التي رأيتها.
The quick one hour flight from Manila to Kalibo with رحلة سريعة في ساعة واحدة من مانيلا إلى Kalibo مع Cebu Pacific Air سيبو المحيط الهادئ للطيران went well and we were entertained by the crew and their famous on board guessing games. سارت بشكل طيب ونحن والترفيه من جانب الطاقم والشهيرة على متن ألعاب التخمين. As usual the plane was about 30 minutes late but who would really notice anyways since we're on وكالعادة كانت الطائرة نحو 30 دقيقة في وقت متأخر ولكن من شأنه إشعار حقا على أي حال نحن منذ يوم Filipino time الفلبينية الوقت … ...

From there you're in for another 90 minutes car or bus ride to the ferry terminal that's on the northern tip of the main island. من هناك كنت في سيارة أخرى لمدة 90 دقيقة أو ركوب الحافلة إلى محطة العبارة التي في الطرف الشمالي من الجزيرة الرئيسية. It's actually not that bad since it gave me my first glimpse of Filipino provincial life which is very different from the one of the Capital. انها في الواقع ليست بهذا السوء لأنه أعطاني أول لمحة من حياة المقاطعات الفلبينية التي هي مختلفة تماما عن واحدة من رأس المال. Now comes the final part of our journey the 20 minutes Banca ride to Boracay which was quite a fun experience to board one of those vessels onto the sea: الآن يأتي الجزء الأخير من رحلتنا في الدقائق ال 20 بنكا لركوب بوراكاي التي كانت الى حد بعيد تجربة ممتعة على متن واحدة من تلك السفن على البحر :

I was totally overwhelmed by its beauty! وقد طغت تماما أنا من جمالها! It's the kind of place that you would only imagine possible to be true in Martini advertisements… But its booming, Leif who had been there just three years previously could hardly recognize a lot of the places. انها نوع من المكان الذي كنت أتخيل فقط ممكن ان يكون صحيحا في الإعلانات... ولكن مارتيني في ازدهار ، ليف الذين كانوا هناك فقط ثلاث سنوات يمكن أن تعترف بصعوبة قبل الكثير من الأماكن. Every square foot of beach front left seem to have been almost bought and developed. تركت كل قدم مربع من الشاطئ ، على ما يبدو تقريبا اشترى وتطويرها. A walk along the palm trees will reveal restaurants serving food from corner of the globe: German, Italian, Greek, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Caribbean, Scandinavian, etc. you name it! وسوف يسير على طول أشجار النخيل تكشف عن المطاعم التي تقدم الطعام من ركن من أركان المعمورة : الألمانية والإيطالية واليونانية واليابانية والهندي والتايلاندية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي ، الدول الاسكندنافية وغيرها سمها ما شئت! The old native style bamboo huts are almost all gone and what's left is a modern strip of hotels with everything from small bars to all out night raves and discos. القديمة الطراز الأصلي أكواخ الخيزران كلها تقريبا رحل وترك ما هو شريط من الفنادق الحديثة مع كل شيء من الحانات الصغيرة إلى كل ليلة من الاطراء والمراقص.
Ah yes this isn't the worst place to be stranded is it? آه نعم هذا ليس هو المكان المناسب ليكون أسوأ الذين تقطعت بهم السبل هو؟

And now for a bumpy tricycle ride up to the top of the island on Mount Luho which is the highest point of Boracay which is around 100 meters high. والآن لركوب دراجة بخارية وعرة تصل إلى أعلى من الجزيرة على Luho جبل الذي هو أعلى نقطة من بوراكاي الذي يبلغ نحو 100 مترا. Picture from one of Leif's friend home, a native woman that was one of the first to come in Boracay here 2o+ some years ago living with Bill, an American that left to visit Asia in 1972 and never made it back home. صور من واحدة من منزل صديق ليف ، وهي المرأة الأم التي كانت واحدة من أوائل الدول التي تأتي في بوراكاي 2o + هنا منذ بضع سنوات يعيش مع بيل ، والتي تركت أمريكا لزيارة آسيا في عام 1972 وعدم جعل من العودة الى الوطن.

My mistake here telling the Canadian owner/bartender that his drinks were a bit light since a bottle of local Tanduay Rhum is 40 pesos in a sari-sari store (PS: 1$ CAD = 45 pesos today). خطأ بلدي أقول هنا صاحب الكندية / نادل أن المشروبات كانت له نورا بت منذ زجاجة Rhum Tanduay المحلي هو 40 بيزو في مخزن ساري ساري ، (ملاحظة : 1 دولار كندي = 45 بيزو اليوم).
We Both woke up still drunk hopefully an Australian couple we had met the day before had a hangover cure the next day for us. استيقظنا على حد سواء حتى في حالة سكر لا يزال يؤمل زوجين الاسترالية وكنا قد التقينا في اليوم الذي قبل أحد مخلفات العلاج في اليوم التالي بالنسبة لنا.

There are many activities possible though that range from: scuba diving, horse riding, kayaking, island hopping, renting motorcycles, all terrain vehicles and much more, etc. هناك العديد من الأنشطة الممكنة على الرغم من أن مجموعة من : الغطس وركوب الخيل ، والتجديف ، والتنقل في الجزيرة ، تأجير الدراجات النارية ، وجميع المركبات البرية وأكثر من ذلك بكثير ، الخ.
And here our last night together already well in full gear… وهنا لدينا الليلة الماضية معا بشكل جيد بالفعل في كامل العتاد...
Leif had of course to take over the bar and prepare his own special drinks to our new half Filipino but swiss raised friend that had a little time off while his girlfriend was sleeping. وكان ليف طبعا للسيطرة على شريط وإعداد المشروبات الخاصة خاصا له إلى نصف الفلبينيين لدينا جديد ولكن السويسري أثار صديق أن لديه القليل من الوقت في حين من صديقته نائما.

These are the Very very obvious trannies you can only see coming out late at night … Others are very hard to differentiate. هذه هي واضحة جدا جدا trannies يمكنك فقط انظر الخروج في وقت متأخر من الليل... والبعض الآخر من الصعب جدا التفريق.
Be very careful what you bring back with you. كن حذرا جدا ما وجهتم معكم. The previous day two Arabs we talked to late at night(one from Dubai & the other from Saudi Arabia) seemed to clueless they were picking up ladyboys. ويبدو أن اثنين من العرب اليوم السابق تحدثنا إلى واحد في وقت متأخر من ليلة (من دبي والآخر من المملكة العربية السعودية) لأنهم كانوا جاهل التقاط ladyboys. I am sure they were in for quite some surprise… أنا واثق من انهم كانوا في لمفاجأة الى حد بعيد بعض...
That was quite the inside joke of the night. وهذا هو تماما نكتة داخل الليل.
Leif's forces slowly dying out. قوات ليف ليموت ببطء. Can't blame him, its after all his last day of his 3rd week in the Philippines. لا يمكن توجيه اللوم له ، له بعد يومه الأخير من كل أسبوع له 3 في الفلبين.

Life is very harsh for some… Raised solely by her grandma and struggling to survive she came 2 months previously to Boracay where the tourism jobs are booming. الحياة قاسية جدا بالنسبة لبعض... المجمعة فقط من جدتها وتكافح من أجل البقاء على قيد الحياة انها جاءت قبل أشهر إلى 2 بوراكاي حيث فرص العمل والسياحة المزدهر. Still not much to eek out a living for a single mother but they never like to be taken in pity. لا يزال هناك الكثير مما كرون إستوني من لقمة العيش للأم واحدة ولكنها لا ترغب في أن تؤخذ في الشفقة. They accept what fate brings them.. انهم يقبلون ما مصير يجلب لهم.. I could imagine a few worst places to be obliged to live while being poor anyways ويمكنني تخيل أسوأ الأماكن القليلة التي يمكن إجبارهم على العيش في حين يجري على أي حال الفقراء
She said hello last week online so I had to do her justice & add her into my pictures with a more proper one of her. وقالت مرحبا على الانترنت الاسبوع الماضي لذلك اضطررت للقيام بها والعدالة إضافة إلى صوري لها مع واحدة من أكثر المناسبة لها.
A few hours later I was on my way for Cebu city. وبعد ساعات قليلة كنت في طريقي الى مدينة سيبو. This time I left from from the small airport of Caticlan with هذه المرة تركت من من مطار صغير من Caticlan مع Asian Spirit اسيا الروح airlines. شركات الطيران. The flight was one hour late this time & aboard a tiny aircraft. وكانت الرحلة ساعة واحدة في وقت متأخر هذا الوقت وعلى متن طائرة صغيرة. I was a bit uneasy since instead of the usual English emergency exit writing inside this model was all in Russian. كنت قلقة بعض الشيء منذ بدلا من الخروج في حالات الطوارئ الإنجليزية المعتاد كتابة داخل هذا النموذج كان كل ما في والروسية. Made me think I was boarding some old USSR Aeroflot aircraft. جعلني أعتقد أنني كان الصعود بعض الطائرات القديمة ايروفلوت اتحاد الجمهوريات الاشتراكية السوفياتية. The speakers also made very a weird sound. كان من بين المتحدثين أيضا صوت غريب جدا.
